Just saw a summer outdoor music round up on NY1 which featured five bands of white guys with guitars. Wait a minute isnt this New York City which had outdoor jazz, hip hop, blues, soul, funk, salsa, reggae and all forms of African music. I wasnt even in town this summer and know a lot more than various forms of white rock happened in the Apple these last few months. Its this kind of narrow thinking that made me become a music critic all those years ago.
