Just saw a video, or at least as much as i could stomach, of a person burning a mouse to death with a lighter.. it broke my heart, it made me cry, and for a second it made me feel intense hatred.. at that point it would have been easy to wish a torturous death on him but what would that solve? He may endure the same pain he inflicted and then be able to understand why it was so wrong, but at that point itd be too late to change his ways as hed be dead, now no good can come out of this horrible situation.. negativity can only be fought with positivity, love and compassion are all we need if ever we wish to see world peace.. the need to assert power must be replaced w the need to help one another.. when someone wrongs us or someone we love, as hard as it may be, we must turn the other cheek and even harder than that, we must try to see where they were coming from, what was going on in their minds that they could justify the action.. in doing this, putting ourself in their shoes, we may learn that the one that hurt us is hurting too and maybe just needs a person to show them love esp in a situation where showing love requires so much strength.. maybe thats all it will take for things to click and for them to be so touched that they too decide to change their ways and spread love instead of hate.. when we learn to empathize with others instead of judging them we realize we are all human, we all have flaws but deep down we all have good in us too, sometimes all it takes is a lil love to bring it out.. im just sick of all of the hate and the violence i see everywhere, cant we all just get along? Haha :)
