Just saw an amazing movie which I believe every American should try to see. “American Sniper” was truly a movie that made you full of pride, patriotism and even sadness. Whatever your opinion of the War’s our country are/have been involved in we owe it as a free nation to take the time to think of what these men and women through the years have experienced while in the theater of war, and also when they return to the homeland. This movie explored both aspects. I don’t remember the last time I was in a movie theater and when the film concluded that the audience applauded with power and strength. Then the theater went silent, not a person got up ( at least 150 people), and we all watched the credits roll. It was an emotional and overwhelming feeling . We filed quietly out of the theater and you could see most head for the restrooms, nearly all with red eyes and heads down, I’m sure looking for the nearest tissue ( I included)..... Having never served, I cannot form a opinion of what they who have served feel. But I can say I pray an American Soldier will never have to fight another war, but if they do I thank God that we as a nation have these magnificent men and women who proudly serve this great United States of America. I wish to thank my Father, Brother, Step-son, Step son-in-law, extended family, friends, acquaintances and the millions I have never had the privilege to meet that have served our country with honor.
