Just saw the hospitalist, still no answers. Today Katie is refusing food and drink. She is very lethargic/fatigued as well. Doesnt even want her ipad just wants to sleep. Got her up while hospitalist was in and she is having a hard time keeping her balance even just standing, keeps trying to fall backwards. This is without the episodes she has been having. Going to get ENT consult again to see if there is any way possible her chronic sinus and ear issues could be the cause. Also going to check if she has had any testing done for pancreatitis, and esophagus issues to see if that why she refuses food and liquid. Going to have a stomach xray as well later to evaluate constipation. Waiting on neurology to come in to see what the thought/plan is from their point of view. They might be moving Katie back to cardiology floor later as well, to closely monitor her input/output, and she is still on telemetry. We have ruled out anything life threatening her heart, brain tumors, abscess, which is good but we still would like answers. She is so not herself and is feeling awful, makes us as parents sad and frustrated.
