Just saw the movie WILD with my dressed-for-a-hike friend Shelley Rice...wowsa! What a great film!!! Its about finding yourself on the trail and Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern were AMAZING. Thank you, Nick Hornby, for a terrific screenplay and to all for such a visceral peek into the Pacific Crest Trail and what its like to hike it (and now I dont have to, whew!). The song Something About What Happens When We Talk by Lucinda Williams got me -- her album Sweet Old World was one I listened to over and over again after my brother died in 2004.
