Just saw this and had to comment as it was crushing news. I met Stuart Scott in 2008 in what was admittedly one of my coolest days as a reporter. I spent 8 hours in a trailer with Scott, Mark Cuban, Jason Kidd, Dwayne Wade, Shaq, and Kevin Love. And the thing that stood out to me about Scott was his incredible kindness and compassion. He didnt rush through answers, never acted like anything I said was dumb (I say many stupid things), and he gave more time than I deserved. Best of all? He was himself through and through. He didnt feel a need to adjust to the situation. He was comfortable in his skin and carried a confidence, coolness, and swagger I could only wish for everyone.
