When we heard rumors that Rueben might be in trouble, two volunteers immediately visited the track to check on him. We spoke with his caretaker who stables her horse in the pony barn. She had fed Rueben that morning as she has done every morning for years. Rueben is fine. Rueben is a community cat of the Hawthorne society. He will always be cared for.
