Just saw this quote..... We are not given a good or bad life, it is up to us to make it a good or bad life. Hmmmmm......methinks whoever wrote that hasnt been through prolonged trauma, or a childhood full of trauma, abuse we were not given the choice to refuse, resulting in severe impacting PTSD. What I do believe though, is it is up to us to focus on the good as well as the bad, as much as we are able to. Some days that is much harder than others - I know. Its like my sense of humour, some days it is there, some days it is not. But, when it is, I take full advantage of it. Some days I can find so many wonderful things I can see in my life. Some days I cry at how painful my life has been and can still be. But, I refuse to deem that as me not making my life good. Im doing the best I can, after a whole lot of trauma, that did not mean my life was good, at all. Im learning to not judge myself and I hope you are too?
