Just say no to all cold callers - potentially they are gathering information to commit a crime later - are you old? Do you have a dog? Is the dog worth stealing? How long did it take you to get to the door? Was the door locked? If a caller comes to your door just practice the sentence Thank you I dont deal with cold callers. And then shut and lock the door and then go and lock your other door. Simple effective protection from door step callers- tell your neighbours and share this status. We had a cold caller at teatime tonight - they are about. Sorry for those that claim to be legitimate but they simply make it easier for the dishonest members of society.
