Residents from East and West Rockaway, Broad Channel, Breezy Point and Brooklyn. What: Press Conference demanding the continuation of the Rockaway Ferry Service. Where: Pier 11/Wall Street Manhattan When: Tuesday, January 21st 2014 at 5:30 pm Background: The Rockaway Peninsula was always in need of Ferry transportation. It took a Super Storm for this form of transportation to become a reality. Ridership is good and excellent in Spring and Summer. For the City of New York to even consider ending the Ferry service is unacceptable.
