Just sharing this one- I was so excited when I recently got this family photo from Christmas 1932. This is my far-mors family- and likely the last time they saw one of the sisters, who went back to Sweden (Asarum), where she died at the age of 21. The two older people in the front are their biological father and step-mother- who escorted Elida back to Sweden. The rest are mostly the siblings with two spouses... They were originally from Nordmaling (the siblings). The father (Ernst Abraham Johansson) was from Blekinge , so in the Asarum neighborhood- saw Elidas gravestone there). The woman and man in the back right are my grandparents (my dad was about 4 months old, and probably sleeping in a pile of coats on someones bed). Christmas Eve was always a huge deal- and still is, though the party is much smaller than when it was at its peak with 9 of the siblings, their spouses, kids, and grandkids- good times :)
