Just shipped off my Dads ole 78 Chevy to make it road worthy again for my son!! Dont think its been a daily driver for the last 12 yrs!! I have so many memories of this truck: one year spent my summer off rebuilding the engine and another year I spent helping my dad put a clutch in this bad boy!! My fondest memory is when we were hunting: I was driving bullshitting with my Dad and I wasnt paying attention to to the road, well the road had some deep ruts cut into it. Next thing I know I hit a rock and the truck shifted right in the ruts!! They were so deep the truck was high centered on the rear pumpkin. Oh boy my Dad was pissed. He then said well its about two miles to camp Ill wait here. So I walked the two miles to go get my 2003 Tahoe. Upon my return, I easily yanked my Dads truck out and got it back on the road. Then I made the biggest mistake ever I joked with my Dad and said HAHA my Chevys better than your Chevy!! I never ever saw my dad get so bright red in the face with anger!!! He told me oh see Cabron hook up the pinche chains back to back Ill rip your rear axle off Carbon!!! Its your pinche driving that got us stuck now MY CHEVY!! LMAO Needless to say I have a lot of memories of that truck with my Dad!! Cant wait to pass that on to my son!! Only said this is that its not my Dad and I doing the work but a great trustworthy friend of mine!
