Just sitting around and making a day of watching old videos to occupy my time. I got up and took a shower, dressed, and made an appointment to take Charlie to the vet to get his shots. He is going to be a handful to take to the vet because he is so skittish about being around people....especially around men. The former owner must have abused him pretty bad when he had him and practically ruined him as a pet. He comes around me when he wants something to eat and when he wants to go out, but for the most part he stays away from me. He is only slightly different with Becky. He is a Brussels Griffon and cuter than a speckled pup...no pun intended. From what we were told when we picked him up the former owner kept him in a crate all the time and didnt let his children socialize with him so he was more or less kept in isolation for the majority of his life. That is really unfortunate and cruel to the max. Weve given him love and kindness the whole time weve been fostering him and hope that we can bring him out of the fear that he feels toward humans. We wouldnt hurt him and he has got to realize that at some point to build up some trust. We are going to take him to the Snip Clinic and have him fixed so were hoping that does something toward his nature. We dont know that it will, but most of the time when you have a dog fixed it changes them and mellows them out a little bit. Ive got some errands to run later in the day before we take Charlie to the vet. I made a list of things that I need to get done. Called the attorney to get the status of the insurance claim against the title company and still havent heard anything back so I am assuming he is calling the title insurance company to find out what is taking so long to settle the claim. Ive still got to sit down with the attorney to discuss damages because I feel confident we can recover damages along with attorney fees. Im not eating the attorney fees on this one and I feel like Ive been damaged along with I think the title company should assume responsibility for the present situation. Its very complicated and hard for me to sit back and not be a part of the foray for the recovery.
