Just sitting at the VA waiting for Thom to get an X-ray and I feel someone looking at me so I look up and an older lady is staring at me. I smile and she just stares. A very rude and judging stare. I look at Thom and say I dont understand why it is so hard for people to smile. He says like this..., and then smiles his Thom smile. Yes it is an exercise people should try. I not so quietly responded.....needless to say she is no longer staring. I dont understand this. If I make eye contact with people, I smile. Its friendly and why not?! Its almost as rude as when you hold a door open for people and they dont say thank you. I make sure to say your welcome extra loud. Why are people so mad? Be happy people!!
