Just sitting here in bed watching family guy and reading the private messages sent to my music page (which i do genuinely read myself i promise, it just sometimes takes me a wee while to read em : ) So one of the most genuinely gut wrenching but also utterly humbling messages i received was to be told that someone actually chose to play a song of mine at their funeral. To be told that someone actually chose a song that you wrote to be the last song that they leave this precious earth with is genuinely just the most beautiful gesture that literally cuts to the heart of me. Someone told me that they played my song Time at their daddys funeral. Honesty tae God all the shit and problems and crap that i think is a big deal right now in my life just disappeared in that moment and i am reminded of how unbelievably grateful i am for what i have and the people i have around me. Thankyou, even if i never sold another record or played another note, that message was enough, makes it all worth while, Damn i am a lucky lady.
