Just sitting here thinking about my mama. Four children by the age of 21, she couldnt possibly give us all the nurture and time we needed. She wasnt equipped, she was barely grown. No college degree, so she couldnt buy us things we wanted, but we werent naked or hungry. There were a few things she was very rich in though, love, forgiveness, acceptance, laughter, a great work ethic. Though my childhood was not as rosy as some, I am still grateful that I had the mother I was given. I am so wealthy, today, because of her example. I know today it is not things that make us prosperous, but its character. Thank you, Ma, for filling us with the things that really matter. Continue to rest in peace. Youre forever in my heart! ♡
