Just sitting reflecting on my ambulance experience over Xmas and what you see! So... Guys having dogs sitting on your knee whilst driving is a no no! In an emergency it could be the difference in both your lifes. Having dogs hanging out the window whilst driving...dangerous if you have to stop suddenly or the dog spots something... Dont be afraid to help, give a dog a bowl of water if you see it in need, whats the worst that can happen, you save a life? Remember if you find a dog its animal control you should call, they pick up strays or lost dogs. We are only involved if it is a welfare case. People ring there first when they have lost their dogs. If you find a lost cat or kitten given us a call as the owner will have contacted us. Having your pet microchipped helps a lot! When calling in to leave us a message speak slowly and clearly, remember a phone number and some details. Spell anything that is complicated such as a name that is unusual. Shouting a number and call me now doesnt work! Hot dogs in cars...I know its sale time but leave your pets at home where they are safe and have access to water. Call us if you see anything, 20 minutes is too long in the heat. Think thats all....
