Just six days into the new year, and we already have what is certain to be the best example of newspaper journalism of 2015. This must-read editorial response to a Tea Party elected official, who demanded that his local paper request his permission to write about his actions as a county administrator, is a lesson in the First Amendment. Its witty, biting, sarcastic, serious, and it even includes a hidden gem; string along the first letter of each paragraph and it spells out the targets name! All this started because this guy, and one of his Tea Party sidekicks, demanded reserved parking stalls. When the reporter did her job and wrote of their petty demands, it set the guy off. He tried to bully the reporter, but she was having none of it!
