Just so youre aware of what kind of world were living in, the below media project, collectively.org, is going to try to get its positive messages of uplifting hope into your viral newsfeeds. Its a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading the message of activism. What grassroots idealists are putting this together? The founding partners – Unilever, The Coca-Cola Company, Marks and Spencer, BT Group and Carlsberg – wanted to help build a non-profit platform open to the voices and opinions of as many different organizations and individuals as possible. We’re ridiculously excited by the list of highly energized participants who are already on board, and this is just the beginning. VICE Media’s creative services division, VIRTUE, was selected by the founding group to create and curate Collectively with complete editorial independence. That editorial independence oversight is coming from an ad agency owned by a media conglomerate whose sole editorial purpose at VICE is to make you trust them so their creative services division can sell that trust to the largest multinational corporations on the planet. No wonder they only plan to be positive. The world is great! Someone else is solving the problem! Click here! Your click will also solve the problem! Then you can continue on with your lives! Dont petition the government! Dont protest! Dont vote! Collectively, we can feel better about all this! Journalism is dead. Everything is advertising now.
