Just some coconut wireless highlights of sports activities in the Islands.. • In the Cook Islands last January, the National Rugby League Association (CIRLA) held a 6 day junior academy for 124 children between the ages of 6 – 14yrs. They were also introduced to the concept of whole life coaching during the week-long training. They now have upcoming WLC trainings for coaches, parents and supporters. • Also in January in the Cooks, they have begun their weekly Kids Whole Life Coaching program with new faces attending. 4 kids that joined last year are now attending a local church . The weekly WLC program continues on Wednesdays and Thursday’s. • In the Solomon Islands, three whole life coaching camps were held: Jan 17-18 Camp for 5 - 12yrs boys and girls, 27 kids attended; Jan 24-25 camp for 10 boys between ages of 13 - 29yrs; Jan 31- Feb 1 camp for 13-28yrs, 15 girls attended. As a result Elders of local Church requested one for them as well. • Tahiti has just had their National Conference for Christian Surfer’s with 3 partners; they have also formed 4 new chapters in various locations in Tahiti. “A people of the ocean who delight in his creation and are called to serve their creator in this wonderful sport - Hee nalu - Faahee = Wave sliding”. • In Fiji last month, began a monthly fellowship for believers in the world of sports, 7 people from various sporting backgrounds came together for an hour of fellowship. The Next monthly fellowship is planned for Friday, March 28th. • Also, last month in the Solomons, a one day KidsGames Vision Casting took place for 16 participants; 4 females and 12 males attend the training. • In Fiji, 9 partners have started planning for a Sports FEST (TeenGames and EdgeGames) from May 8-10 in Suva. This Saturday a training and meeting for 30 leaders will take place.
