Just some insight that came to mind this morning in my time with Jesus in my study. The full armor of God. Ive studied Ephesians now over the past three years pretty deep, this morning I was going over chapter 6 where Paul explains the armor of God. Im going to dive right into this because Ive got to hurry and get to work, but I pray that what Im about to share will help someone understand this amazing armor. Be blessed. Holy Spirit, I trust you with this. Ok, Ephesians 6:11 it says put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. To understand this passage in a greater degree I simply looked at truth. Ok, is the devil going to stop being his nasty self? I highly doubt it. So, if Paul was communicating that we should put on this armor everyday it would seem to indicate that there are times when we are unprotected from Gods sovereign protection. I cant even grasp even a thought that God would allow one of His own to ever be unprotected for any reason. So, my belief is this, we have an armor on 24/7, and I believe Paul is trying to communicate that they were to realize that they had access to the security that only God can and will provide in His armor. You may see this passage differently, and that is fine, but in my struggles and warfare I choose to trust in a perspective that puts God in complete control, because if I have to put on His armor repeatedly, what if I put it on wrong or dont tighten my belt or helmet? I will never be able to rest and be victorious in knowing I did anything, because if I could it would be called the armor of Eddie.so, I believe as believers we have been given an armor of Our God that we are just growing into the reality of just how powerful it is. I walk everyday knowing He has put it on me and that perspective my friends works much better than walking around wondering if I put it on right today. Thank you Father for your armor. In Jesus name, amen. Be blessed today, you are protected.
