Just something to put on Facejunk... I am not putting down teachers....Every year I see how education is becoming more advanced, thus the teaching plan changes.The government see fit that our children must compete and be as smart as other children in other countries. Professors lay claims to core values of how to teach our children, and we the American parents all are supposed to jump on board to support the effort. I know that I am not a scholar, you will find many literary errors in my post...go ahead English folks...tear me apart..but, I will NOT just jump on board with our government, and these awesome scientist on the current curriculum. Look just because the herd is all stampeding in a certain direction does not mean that it is good...as a matter of fact, they are all probably heading towards the cliff. Lets review...Asbestos was breaking technology, and we installed this in every public building in the US...because it was a good idea... Pouring sweet oil in your ear for an ear ache, 30 years later we find this was an awful thing to do. Now its put your faith in government not God....hell is gonna be hot. I could go on forever. What set this off ? I was reviewing a comprehension test that my son took..yes he did fail this, but just barely. The problem I had with this is the questions had blurred lines..yes it was twerky. Who approves of these test ? Are they as well on a government salary ? I respect teachers and the institute of education, but if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it gonna be a DUCK. Please read these test before you give these out, review them and ask your self...does this make sense at all ? Marilyn Barr was a Kindergarten teacher, possibly The Kindergarten teacher. I feel that she had a calling in life to teach, a calling by God to do the job. The job less influenced by our wonderful government, and more influenced by someone who cared about making you a better and more knowledgeable person...NOT JUST CHECKING THE BOX. Teachers I applaud those of you who take the time day in and day out to REALLY reach our children, your job get tougher all the time.
