Just spoke with a friend in Gaza. The situation is terribly dire. No water. No food. He has about 30 people in his home, taking refuge, and a huge problem to cope with their needs. No electricity, so we could only speak briefly on the phone. He mentioned that in one place where people went back, they found dead bodies in bathrooms shot in the head and the stink so bad, no one could go near. So its pretty obvious that the human rights workers must now go and collect evidence in preparation for commissions of inquiry, as before with Goldstone and the rest. Prepare for terrible witness statements. But how to translate that to change? To lifting of the siege.
