Just spotted something in a Naval magazine which caught my eye. This,apparently,is an MOD report on a system known as Crowsnest which is a helicopter mounted surface search radar system for the future. The whole report is pages and pages long, mostly waffle to me, but I managed to pick out a half paragraph which completely befuddled me,and I reproduce it here in full:- The first two years of this activity are intended to seed low level technology demonstration efforts in order that the candidate contractors can further de-risk their mission system solutions. This will be followed by a competitive evaluation and downselection. Now I feel I have a reasonable command of the English language but what the feck does that mean. Any enlightenment will be appreciated. Worryingly the people who have produced this report are in charge of this countries defence LORD HELP US. Is it any wonder this country of ours is in terminal decline.Your thoughts please
