Buddy Empower School of Discipleship Hello Everyone: I pray that you and your families are well. For more than 10 years we have organized and led missionary teams to assist with evangelism, church planting, disaster relief and community development projects in the US and abroad. As you know, my Mom who is now 83, has worked tirelessly to register and prepare the teams for the outreaches. She went to the Dominican Republic last year and is ready to go again. We have truly come to recognize the urgent need in our world for godly leaders equipped with theological knowledge, ministry experience and relational, entrepreneurial & management skills. My thoughts about how to equip leaders has evolved over time. A few years ago, my good friend Ted Lyke and I visited a training school in the mountains of Haiti. The program focused on preparing evangelists to evangelize surrounding communities, while church planters were being prepared to plant new churches and local Christian farmers were being taught how to increase their crops in order to support the work. In answer to prayer for such a strategically integrated training program, God has opened the doors for Commissioned Beyond Borders to acquire property & housing, to recruit staff & volunteers, to launch a business venture that supports a work/study program and to partner with international ministries in providing great internship opportunities. Our school is called Empower School of Discipleship and we prepare our students by using the following: Core Curriculums Spiritual Disciplines Mentoring Relationships Local & International Instructors Online Course Work Residential Group Living Practical Hands-on Knowledge and Skill Development Entrepreneurial Business & Management Experience Foreign Language Studies International Internship Opportunities We are currently recruiting students for our fall semester which begins on August 9, 2014 and I have attached a PDF file with a current brochure so that you can pass it on to anyone you believe would personally benefit from our program.
