Just stopped two 12 year olds from getting into a fight, by interrupting them and treating the aggressor like a reasonable person who just needs to evaluate the choices hes making. Its more complicated, certainly, but I didnt bystand, I didnt make things worse, and theres a chance my intervention helped in a lasting way.
