Just streamed the Interview. The most talked about movie of the year and one of the most controversial films of all time. What did I think...I enjoyed it. I didnt expect anything more then a funny Seth Rogen/James Franco comedy and didnt get overhyped that it would be the best American thing ever. The movie was funny, and more importantly the film was important. Even if it is a silly comedy it does address a real world issue, and even though it portraits the issue in a comedic cartoonish light truth presented through comedy raises awareness. It also address the issue of media, journalism and something that seems really meta considering the controversy didnt happen till after the film was released. Its an important film, and to consider it was made by the fat guy from Knocked Up and Green Goblin Jr. Also any movie that plays Katy Perry music gets a thumb up in my book (yes...Im lame).
