Just talked to Dad and got this weeks fishing report. Bass are spotty. A few fishermen are finding some, just nothing really big. Bream are still biting well. Mostly bluegills, but some chinqapins as well. Reggie Page, his son, and 2 grandkids came in this morning with an ice chest full of bream, and a catfish and a white perch. Most are fishing between State Park and Plum Orchard in the trees and submerged islands, fishing in 4 to 5 foot of water about 2 foot deep. There has been a couple of white perch fishermen this week each catch over 20, fishing with shiners about 4 or 5 foot deep in 10 of water. We had a first time sethook fisherman this week catch a 48 and a 20 pounder. But what most people are getting their fill of are the barfish and the hybrids. There is a very large school going on near the old Shady Point camp. They are pretty much hitting anything shiny. Spoons, crankbaits, silver top water baits, Little Georges, etc. They are catching ice chests full. So come on down and enjoy the first day of Summer on the water!
