Just talked to Shannon, she is in a room. Different floor but same routine. Anyways, they are on it again, same team will be seeing her in the morning. The one that came up with the combo that WORKS (for now) that included something we cant get out of the hospital. Ocreotide. Combined with this pill called Midodrine, it fixes very important things. On Thursday when I sprung her, she was all full of piss and vinegar again. Very Shannon again. Last night she was tremoring, but still her. Today she was tired and a bit shaky but STILL HER. We went and had a great meal at PF Changs. They were awesome all the way around. Then we went back. Elevated white blood cells, bit shaky...low blood pressure. But, yano what? STILL HER. She called me soon as she was in a room and sounds good, bit scared but hospitals ARE scary places. So, I know she is getting what she needs, and this will fix a lot of physical issues. Hoping this is short term. Was so nice for all of us to have her home. The big thing is, we should be able to get released with this med. They can provide it, the pharmacy cannot. We should have had that happen Thursday. Either way, Doc trusts us to do a shot every eight hours so yeah. Lets do this RIGHT this time. What a frigging learning curve. Now, off to bed with me, I am going to go camp at our congressmans office tomorrow :)
