Just talked to the surgeon and everything went well. The connection in the ureter from his previous surgery looks great. What happened is that he healed around the drain tube so when they pulled it out the other day his body had created its own drain tube. They put a stent from his bladder to his kidney so that urine will drain the correct way. He has a catheter that will drain into his diaper but we can go home with that. It will be pulled on Wed. The stent will remain in the ureter for 6 weeks. The surgeon was telling us about what happened and says "Jesse is.... special." He had to find the right words. He said he has been doing this surgery for 7 years and has never seen this happen. It is very rare for the body to do that!
