Just the worst day possible. Went to check my babies this morning and found my pet ewe;s breathing was abnormal. Vet came and she has Pneumonia, god only knows how, but probably due to lambing and the disgusting weather. The crazy part is I check them so many times a day and family all saw her last weekend and she was fine. Looks like she has little milk as she is trying to keep herself going so are now bottle feeding her baby. That was a mission but have finally got 200 mls into her and quite willingly in the end. Hunger took over. They are together, in a cosy stable, but Lucy is not a well girl. Baby has continually sucked her with obviously no milk. Hopefully antibiotics will kick in soon, or I will more worried than I am now. She is also not eating, even her much loved Fibro Pro. Everyone keep your fingers and toes crossed that she comes through this, and anybody with some other helpful hints let me know. Depressing to say the least!!!
