Just thinking: God, Dr. Kent Brantly and the Ebola Virus God - TopicsExpress

Just thinking: God, Dr. Kent Brantly and the Ebola Virus God is absolutely not the author of evil (He allows them based on reasons known to Him - among which is His nature as Just God or a Judge), even in a sinful world He protects His own and glorify Himself. There are things that God has shown us and given us insight, and there are some that He is yet to give us insight based on His timing and sovereignty. Physicians have had cures for bacterial infections but not viral infections for centuries. Dr. Kent Brantly is a Christian missionary in Liberia, like many around the world (two years ago, I met a Dr. and his family - wife and three boys all under 11 in the jungle of west Nepal and early this year met a Dr. and her husband a PT who was tired of the labor in Les Cayes, Haiti). These godly people put their own family in a low standard of living with all the potential consequence - like Ebola outbreak. Dr. Kent in my opinion is my hero for 2014. When he realized there was an outbreak of Ebola (a viral disease) in his station Liberia, he sent his family home (to America - TX) and stayed behind with volunteers. Unfortunately, he and a volunteer nurse got infected. This wonderful man after Gods heart, again volunteered that the only trial vaccination (shot) meant for him, be given to his nurse. This is what it means to be like Christ. While God has not given humans wisdom/insight to come up with a cure for Ebola (like other viral disease), He has given us a name that is above all names, He also has given us His Word and we have Faith and Trust in Him that He is who He says He his and Hell do what He says Hell do. So, those of us called by His name, need to repent and cry out like David for mercy, when the angel of death was unleashed on Israel after he (David) conducted an unauthorized census, and the angel was stopped. I will add in my prayer, that God in His mercy, should give human doctors and medical researchers insight into creating vaccinations for viral diseases.
