Just thinking: The more I study the Bible, the more I come to the conclusion that He [God] desires for us to have the things we are struggling to have outside or in-spite of Him. He demonstrated this desire by sending His only Son to die on the Cross, and He repeats it many times in the Bible (see Jeremiah 29: 11 and many scripture promises). However, there is something else that Ive also discovered in our quest for Gods blessings or His best for our lives; we want those blessings and promises without the pre-requisite, for instance, start noting all the blessings on Facebook or anywhere, that omits (deliberately or not) the condition for that blessing? In my understanding (I stand corrected), there is no Promise (especially blessings) of God that does not have, If thou would.... We want (desire) a good marriage while ignoring or excusing Ephesians 5 (among other scriptures). We want (desire) prosperity while ignoring Joshua 23: 6, Luke 6: 38, 2 Corinthians 9, among other scriptures)..you get the picture. God has perfected and completed that which is needed by YOU and I through our journey on earth (including provisions for the valleys well go through), so the next time we say Amen to a blessing pronounciation (which is OK), we must check if we are obeying the If thou would... and if not, we must start by being obedient to that pre-requisite, along with our Amen.
