Just thinking about stuff....to the girl that came up to me at my fathers funeral- you told me you helped him into his car that night. That ignorant & selfish choice to help him into a car when he obviously couldnt walk to it on his own costed him his life, me my dad, & my mother her husband. All you had to do was take the keys away and make a phone call. Same goes to the bartender who served him all night. Its your job to know when to cut people off & not send them out the door with keys in their hand when their BAC is close to liver failure/death. He was far beyond the condition to make reasonable logical choices for himself. I was in shock when you told me & didnt know what to say after that long week of staying by my dads bedside in the hospital watching him suffer until he passed away. I havent said anything about any of this until now. I needed to get this off my chest. I hope everyone thinks twice when they make choices like this and/or have friends of yours around that are about to make a choice similar. Thank you Mark for finding my dad & helping him & dialing 911 to get the life flight out there. Im so very thankful someone was there with him.
