Just thinking about the Texan (unfortunately) who was sporting the confederate flag in front of the white house. Perhaps he didnt know the American Civil War was primarily about slavery. Theres a lot of spin and revisionist history which says it was about other things. OK, maybe he was misinformed. He should have at least realized how offensive it would be in front of a black familys home. These days, it just screams racism. Someone would have to have led an extremely sheltered life not to realize that much. The civil war is nothing to be proud about. Not only did we lose - we were fighting on the wrong side to begin with. Flying the so-called confederate flag is just plain ignorant no matter how you look at it. This is made doubly so by the fact that it was never the flag of the confederacy in the first place. Thats right. The flag we see these days was just the battle flag of Tennessee. It never flew over Texas or other states. Thus ends my polemic.
