Just thinking...my 8 year old grandson called me several weeks ago because he was scared by what he saw when the police approached his dad and how they were treating his dad. He wanted me to come stop the police from mistreating his dad. It was obvious that he called me because he felt I (Papa) was the only one that can handle this situation. It made me reflect on how great God is and how we need to call on Him in situations that appear impossible. Also, I reflected on the awesome the responsibility that is to preach the Jesus of the oppressed and how we are called to fight the injustice that still exist! For this a Black Boy from the Project, I accept the challenge and know now aint the time to become silent when our Black Boys are dying on the street for a variety of reasons from gang violence to police brutality. My Jesus was a rebel and challenged the status quo. He set the example for the fight against injustice. I have 10 grandchildren (specifically 3 boys) and that is cause enough, but as the gospel preacher of Macedonia, the Church Where Everyone is Somebody and Christ is All, I must continue the fight for justice. What about you! What your cause?
