Just thinking on this topic this morning...Have you ever thought about your prayer life and how you reach the throne of God through prayer? I have. There are times in my life when I have felt the need and encouragement from my friends more than God himself. And, honestly, its scriptural to encourage one another and pray for one another. Hebrews 10:25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. James 5:16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. -- But honestly there is only One who we really need. Thats Jesus (God) himself. Jesus said in John 10:30, I and the Father are one.” -- Im often reminded of how Jesus instructed us to pray in Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. -- As we can see from scripture, we are to pray to Our Father in heaven. And, one of my favorite verses that tells me that I dont have to go through anyone to have complete access to God is this one; 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus. -- HEBREWS 7:25 …He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. -- My friend, you don’t have to run to a church leader to get him to pray “more powerfully” for you. You can pray yourself. Then, take advantage of Jesus’ intercession for you and say, “Lord Jesus, I don’t know what else to say…please intercede for me.” And when Jesus gives His personal touch to your prayer, you can be sure that it will be answered! (a quote from Pastor Prince) --John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
