Just this morning I encountered a hen with its chicks as I made my way to town. So while I was trying to find my way around them, one of the chicks got ahead of me which caused a separation between the hen and the chick. The hen runs with such speed in an attempt to rescue its chick from this enemy. After I left the scene, I started thinking. . . If a hen could be this protective of its own, whats happened to the human race that now takes joy in seeing a friend in trouble? Now, we would rather laugh at a friend whos fallen than lend them a helping hand. We would rather tease friends to fail than encourage them. We would rather pull out our camera phones to take pictures and videos of a friend whos drowning,of ladies who are stripped on our streets then share the photos and videos on WhatsApp,Facebook ,Instagram and Twitter,than help them regain their consciousness. Have we now become less than mere animals that show support to their troubled allies? Well, only time will tell. Its friday,have a good one :) .
