Just thought I would put the word out (with talk about slums etc). I have a single mom friend of two young kids on a disability pension due to a chronic physical ailment. I can personally vouch for her stellar character and sobriety etc as can many others (M-A Russell etc). Yet due to her financial state (low income) and being First Nations she is having a VERY VERY hard time finding a safe and affordable rental. If anyone hears of anything available -- please let me know. This amazing woman faces huge struggles and appropriate housing shouldnt be an obstacle to raising her kids safely.
