Just thought I would share so maybe someone can learn from my experience and save some grief. Put this EMPI fuel filter (glass with chrome ends) on our 63 beetle few months ago. Came out of work yesterday to find that the one end had come unscrewed from the centre shaft that holds it all together and there was half a tank of gas all over the parking lot. Could have been MUCH worse! And yes, the hose clamps were tight (couldnt turn the hose on the fitting). I figure the centre part rattled around inside and came undone. Nice one-piece WIX one on now and all seems good.
