Just thought Id share how disgraced I was by a doctor I saw yesterday, I explained that now Im 25 I would like a cervical smear to which he replied if you have cervical cancer you would be bleeding every day, I dont understand the publicity to get the age lowered. I was shocked and angry and explained that the cervical smear is supposed to detect early diagnosis so something can be done before its too late. He just looked very angry with me and still didnt give me any information about a smear! What an asshole. I cant believe a doctor could be so stupid! No wonder people are not getting tested and people are dying.. These doctors should be promoting awareness.. He left me feeling really shitty & questioning why I even wanted a smear in the first place.. Thats not right, its him in the wrong because bleeding every day as he said would mean its probably too late when a smear is meant to detect early abnormalities. Quite upset to be honest.. RIP dawn, hope there are not many of these asshole doctors around. X
