Just thought Id share some of the fun that we had at Dragon Con this year with my version of Mrs. Doubtfire …(if you arent following my artist page!) In the caption below are the products I used if you are interested … and to answer your question, no it was not originally a tribute, yes I can work fast (thanks to Face/Off ) lol but no I started this many months prior to Mr. Williams tragic passing. I usually go through these thought processes when I decide on a cosplay…Popculturally, speaking...What would make a good make up heavy cosplay, that many people dont do (that ones important! )? What would be fun to interact with people in and speak to my inner actor and comedy child, and what would work well with my body and frame? I think it was almost a no brainer, I decided on it a year ago at LAST dragon con, and started work on it during the Master Prosthetics class I taught in June. Because of what happened It BECAME and morphed into a tribute to him; not to mention the many wonderful artisans that have inspired me over the years namely Greg Cannom,Ve Neill, and Yolanda Toussieng. I have to say running around all night like that screaming HELLOOOOOO, dear, was probably the most fun I have ever had in a #cosplay (...and my loss of voice proof of that the next morning) which is just more of a testament to Robins genius as an artist and an actor to create a character such as this! Irreverent, funny, loving, kind, nurturing, and strong. Thats Mrs. Doubtfire! One of my all time favorite movies and make ups! Thanks to Edward Warren Benji DoveTroy Meyers Austin Kunis and of course everyones favorite granny Scott Tater Lynd for being the dressing crew that helped me squeeze into the fat suit! lol That was an epic night of fun I wont soon forget!
