Just thought that I would share something that I drafted and posted more than a week ago on my linkedin profile... Knowledge sharing to me means being open to and respectful of all forms of knowledge (and capital for that matter) that each partner possesses. Further, the possession and exchange of such knowledge should ensure some form of equity for all partners from the outset of any joint enterprise - not as an afterthought. At the university level, we work hard at trying to instill a sense of humility in our students around this concept of knowledge recognition and sharing and that the principles underlying this concept include respect, reciprocity and relationship. Also along these lines we emphasize the importance of keeping engagement and the exchange of knowledge focused on people, process and then product - in that order. I know that at the larger scales this may not always be practical. In fact, it might sound way too ideal. However, I can tell you that for us, it has lead to resilient partnerships with more desirous outcomes for the stakeholders involved. Be well RJS
