Just to clarify, I, Cand Torrance, did not simply write this book to bash Catholicism. It is in fact a collection of confessional and personal poetry. The title is an hommage to my friendship with Victoria Elliott and her photography, both of which helped me as author be able to write the pieces that I did choose to feature in the book. I know enough about Catholicism (transubstantiation, Lent, Ash Wednesday, the Old Testament, etc.) to be able to appreciate its beauty. I am an agnostic polytheist, however, and I believe everyone should have the right to practice their religion or exercise their beliefs freely. This attitude, coupled with the luxury of my living in North America has afforded me the opportunity to publish this collection, and Id like to thank all of you for your contributions and genuine interest. I didnt choose the title I Am a Catholic, Please Call a Priest out of tact, but rather as a beacon of hope to my readers.
