Just to clear some things up concerning this page. We are UNAFFILIATED with Skiatook Animal Control. We are a small group of Skiatook citizens that do not feel as though the animals taken in to Skiatook Animal Control are given an adequate chance to be adopted. We hope to implement an adoption program in the city of Skiatook. We will consider any and all advice that will help us reach our goal of no more homeless pets. We will post dogs we know of that are taken in by animal control, dogs needing homes that we know of personally, and dogs lost and found. We can only accomplish anything if people continue to call the authorities of the town to voice their concerns and implement change. There are currently 6 dogs that I know of at the Skiatook pound. There is a female golden retriever/shepherd puppy, a male beagle mix named Roscoe, a Doberman that was owner surrendered, a dog in for biting someone, a husky whose owner knows she is there and is currently going to pick her up and a black dog that I do not have a picture of. If anyone has advice, please share.
