Just to let everyone know, I am getting a shot in my S1 Sciatic nerve today for my back pain and they do consider it out patient surgery because I have to be put to sleep for this shot. Its always a risk when you have to be put to sleep with anesthesia and they are doing it so your muscles arent tense when they give you the shot and it will spread better that way. My previous surgeries and shots have been for my L4 and 5, so they are trying something different with doing the S1 this time, so I hope it works! I will update everyone later when I am back home this afternoon.
