Just to re-iterate that we will not be at cooks 10th, 17th or 24th April but definitely back on 1st MAY, relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to go after the break. So if the dust has formed on your equipment, brush it off and come on up. Despite personal approaches from George Osborne assuring him that the UK is the place to invest his huge finances, and pleas from Nigel Farage not to go to a country full of nasty foreigners........... Roger Beamer is heading off permanently to Spain on 18th May so on Thursday 15th May, we would like to arrange a farewell, so everyone can say their good byes, and we can thank him for his continued and regular support of cook island open mike, we will miss him. It might be helpful if you could let me know if you are planning to come along, Also a HUGE thanks to everyone who came along last night, what a fantastic night, So thanks go out to Mark Taylor, Johnny Button, Steve the Sax, Roger Beamer, Paige, Wynn, Martin Cassini, John Higgs and his brother (whose name escapes me). Margaret and Dave, Pip and pal! Partners and friends!. A huge thanks to the holiday makers, who came up and as part of the audience and stayed on to enjoy the music, not forgetting Paul and the staff, who as usual, made everyone welcome, and kept the drinks flowing. Great stuff Paul. Personal thanks to Mike, Clive and John who managed to pull the music together to play support to those who needed the backing band. Truly was a brilliant night, and so much fun! Anyone who wants a lively night and a trip out to Lynmouth on Saturday (5th April) night The Average Blues Band will be at The Village Inn, great pub and great music venue.
