Just to show how God is thinking about us all the time and always has everything under control.... I got some awesome news tonight!! When I decided to open the studio in December 2011, I was already in the Master of Education in Counseling program at Ole Miss. I was going for both Community counseling and School counseling. (I had worked for several years as a Crisis counselor for the House of Grace Domestic Violence Shelter). As most of you know, William had his 3rd massive heart attack on picture day at the studio, which was in April and my mom had just miraculously overcome a neat death experience with a severe infection in her spine. The stress and responsibility was mounting, so I decided to put school off for a while. I have a little over one year left to graduate. Well, while I was taking classes, my friend, Amanda Nicole Desnoyers and I wrote a presentation that had been accepted to be presented at the 1st annual International Expressive Arts therapy conference. WELL... Amanda completed her education and got my permission to use the work we had done on Dance and Moods with children in some of her own work and guess what????? We are going to be published! Our ideas and theories regarding how music and dance can make a difference in a childs lile, will most likely begin being used by clinicians!! Thank you Lord for showing me that You are miraculous and wonderful and loving! Amen!
