Just too let you know that our ‘Hot Dog and a Hug’ is doing marvelous. 25-35 are showing up from the inmate’s family visitation on Saturdays to have a hot dog lunch and some are visiting the host churches. One pastor spent a full two hours in front of the jail counseling, praying with, inviting. We are able to tell them where they can get groceries, a meal, legal help, 12-Step programs for recovery, a number of caring churches and a Saviour that loves them. We are not yet having this during the Sunday afternoon visitation. Let us know when or if your church is willing. I would suggest a representative from your church showing up on a Saturday to check it out. I feel that I have handled the widow’s mite. One of the guests wanted to help and donated three dollars.
