Just took a call from a researcher from ITVs The Chase. A happy sounding cove who wanted to know a little more about me. On listening to myself answer these questions I quickly arrived at the conclusion that I am a really dull bastard. I now realise that when these quiz contestants deliver moronic and pointless anecdotes about their drab lives, the reason they are so painfully awful to listen to is unless you are a superhero whose superpower is dynamism, then to the outside world you will always come across as a dullard. I cringed at everything I said to him. Terrible. One thing I was wise to was when he went through the list of subjects and how I think Id do on them. Ive long thought that if the producers know what topics you are hot on, they would tailor the questions against you. So I was asked to rate the subjects from between 1 and 5. I went 3 for all of them. He laughed and said that he knew I was being cagey. I will know in a few weeks if I am to go for an audition.
